Dear Parants
A moments time
I have to write you
a few lines so I
thought I would
improve the time
my health is good
at the Present
time and hope
yours is the same
we expect to move
frome here to night
or tomorrow whare we
are going I dont
know but the gener
al opinion is to york
town if so we have
got a hard time
this summer the
army there moves

with there napsacks
if we do hafto I am
a fraid I shant stand
it for it is awful hard
for a man to cary
his knapsack on a
march and if we go
there I dont think
we shall get Paid of[f] till
we get settled up for
good that is the 28 eighth
of next september
now I dont know as I
have eny more to write
only did you get the
money that I sent
home I sent ten
dollars you wanted to know
