Dear Parents
As I have
a favorable chance to write
you a few lines I thught
I would do so as I suppose you
are ancious to hear from me
as for my health it is poor
just now for I have bin worn
out by hard marches and I
couldent go eny longer so they put
me in the hospittal to recruit
up agan how long that will take
I dont know but I dont think I
shall go on duty agan till I feel
able how is your health I trust
better then mine,, the last
letter I received from you
was as much as three weeks ago
all through & suppose I dont get

them all as for knews I dont
hear eny only of a Plenty of fight
ing which I suppose you get in
the Papers. I saw sumner
the other ay he had bin
sick and dident look much
better then
now I will draw
to a close for I have wrote all
