Biography: 

James Pratt (b. 1823) was a shoemaker from North Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. He mustered into service with Co. H, 35th Massachusetts Infantry in August 1862 and died of disease in Covington, Kentucky on August 24, 1863, leaving behind a wife, Charlotte, and three young sons, Lester, Alty, and Winny.
