Aas we wer on guard Larst night we shall
be of dty duty to day. It rained heare Larst night and dull

The Blue Ridge Mountains surround we are tow or three miles from harpers
Ferrey. I did not have much Appitite this moring all I eat was Pint of
soup 10 ct of Chees 4 Cookes one third of a Pie which was the first Pie
I. have eat sence I Left Camp Whipple Chees 25 cts a pound
It has be 30 cts a Pound. I. am waiting for my. beans for
Dinner doint you think I. shall have to see the docter soon
there is Plenty of Provisions heare now such Poark Beacon Rice
Beans I think we shall stay heare for a few weeks then go
