No 2 Jeffersonton Cul Pepper County Nov 10th [1862] [Jeffersonton, Culpeper County, VA]

Dear Wife I have not time to write but a few Lines
We have ben marching for two weeks we are about
Jog[g]ed out we have Chased the Rebbles about 80 miles
A word Come this moring to Leave our Napsack under
Guard and foler Chase them we waited one hour
And word Come that they had skedaddied I have
Not ben berey well a tack of the runs I have
Traveled over hill and Dale we have not stoped
In but one Place but one two nights they have
Given a hour to rit write the Boys are all well
yow must not worry about me I have not Got
that Box yet and shall (till w[e] Camp a few day) not It will not be eney
youse to send a Box till we Camp that money
will Cme verey handy It may be tow or three
Weeks before we Camp and may not we was
At ansvill saturday night we was Put on Pickets
About a mile head the Camp we killed two Pigs
sunday moring Got in to a mans Cellar window
Got all the Apples we wanted he Lost as much
as 20 Bushels I Shall mor the first Chanc
I have not received no Letter sence the one dated
26 but shall Give my respects to all
I think I Shall feell better
