No 29 Paris K . y. April 2.th [1863]
Dear Wife I write to Let no that I am well
And in oald kuncukey we stopt in
Covington City tusaday night it did not
snow but very little we Camped in a market
Building which is used but twice a week in
Moring we started in the Cars for Paris 65 miles
In the freight Cars Arived about Dark slept
Iin the Cars Piched our tents this moring thursday
Close to the Raillroad this is a very fine Place
the Grass is Green as it is at home in May the
Farmers are Ploughing and Gitting ready to Plant
We are eleven hundred miles from home we have
Passed over a vast track of Land a Great many
Villiages throught Pen. OiO. we Expect to march
to morrow for Sterling about 22 miles and Camp
I. wish we Could had our Pay for we Could
Cakes Pies all hot or eny thing wanted Every
Villiadge we Stoped they would Come to Cars
With them I had enought some 30 cts
But it soon Plaid out when we went to supper
CinCinnati Some one Stole my knapsack shirt tent
Writting desk Papper housh wife and stockings
And Every thing in it

We had had a Good Bearkfast in Pitsburgh
Sunday moring Beard and Buttur Dried meate
Crckers and Chees hot Coffe.Pickels Apples
the same in Cinn monday night and Pie
I feel very well But to tird tow write
I. Got another knapsack with shirt tent
Goverment stockings one Pair I. have tow
Beg all that I write on you must send
some I Shall write soon as i Can
yow must not Expect very soon you
Must ask all the qustions you Can
