Many letters I had a Chance write and I am well
As usal. there was thunder And lighting Larst
NiGht but not very neare the Season
Heare is very late but one mounth ahead
of Mass the trees are leaving out and the Peach
trees have Ben Leaved Blossemed this ten days
And Gl[ar?]in has Got up some inches very high It
hase ben very warm For two or three days
it is Cloudey and Cooler this Moring the
Slaves Bring in things to Sell. there Masters Send
them Chikens roasted Chiken Pies Cakes and s[???]th
the Chiken Pie we bought for 80 ct four of us
Was Baked in a i[r]on Pan about the size of your
Largest Stove Pan they are very Good Cooks
Heare in. Ky. we not had to worke very hard
We have not drilled but veary little not muirish
Ghurd. we had very Good time But after all doint you

From Pitsburgh to Cincinnatia. the rest
of the way Box Cars very much Crweded
