Dear Friends
I again sit
down to rite a few lines hooping
that this may be recieved
and that I may get an
answer from home
since I came out here I have
ritten home five letters and
got but two the first one
was date Nov 10th and Nov 16th
I dident recieve the last one
till Nov 27th I thought it
a little strange but thinking
that yow mightnot get my
letters I will riteagain the
last one that I wrote home
was dated Nov 28th and
expected an answer before

now I am well at presant
and live verry well it is
verry cold out here now
and alittle snow on the ground
but we have got the big tents
now and have got a little
stove in each one it is verry
comfertable in them we
are inspected evry Sunday
morning hove to hove
evry thing looking verry
nice our knapsacks all
packed and our boots polished
thay find blacking for ous
and we have to look pretty
nice We had a verry good
thanksgiving out here had
turky and a good meny
nice things but I should
like to looked in through the

and have seen the table that
was at home I was glad to here
that yow got the money and
sent me evry thing was
sow nice and tasted so good
I havent forgot the little
piece of aple that sis don up
so nice and sent to me
Father wrote that he was a
fraid the boots wouldent
fit and suit the boots fit
and turn watter tip tap
I like them as well as any
I ever had I supose sis is
going to School at presant
and lerning fast is daniel
with yow now and what
is William doing I should
like to be there and try him

yow wrote to now whether
you should write to
John Preston C or
John P Campbell
it dosent make any
difference I get them
after thay get i on the
Camp ground
I dont think of
much more now
