I seat my self this
morning to answer your letter that we
are all well and I hope that the lines
will finde you all enjoying the same
blessing I received a letter not long time
from you and was glad its here from
you and know that you were all well
I all so got a letter from Peters and
Luther got one from Jacks,

Well Father you said that Eph
True said that if some of the Boys
did not get Furlows or get Home
they would runaway and some of the
rest of the boys got letters and they say
that if I do not get Home I will
die that is a positive lie I am not
a particle Home sick it is true I
would love to see you all but then
if I could get a Furlow at this
I would not. well Pap our Colonel
says that this is the best drilled
Regiment that He ever saw for the
time we have been in The service
their has been Regiments from all
Mos evry Union state and the
citizen of Cumberland say the [?ive]
have the bes dressed that was ever
hear. we have plenty to eat we have
light bread all the time since
we come hear and beef the most of the
time

Well Pap you said that I said
nothing a bout my boots I thought
that I had written what you should
do with them you alowed that I
could get them as cheep hear as their
I can so you need not send them
you can do with them just as you
please well pap you have heard that
the Rebble Army was so raged I believe
that their is something of it we have
taking a bout 45 since we have been
hear and they was hard looking men
dirty and raged as filthy a looking
men as ever I saw must stop
writing for this time give my best
wishes to all inquiring friends and
keep a good share for your self
