Saturday
Dear Brother
It is under more trying circum-
-stances to day than when I wrote
my last.. Henry Died yesterday
about three Oclock whitch leaves
myself and Father alone
He is to be buried tomorrow
Wee supposed he was a going to get
Well untill Wednesday he was taken
worse and run right down he had
bin gaining and appeared quite smart
but his Fever come on and took him
off.. Nancy had got soomutch [1] better that
she come down to see him a day or two
before he died.
Times have changed
greatly here in a month or two
the Depression of Gold being the
cause Butter has got down to 18 to 20
cts per lb and all Kinds of produce in
proportion.. think wee will have to sell
our cows dont think wee can make
cheese any more guess I have wrote
all I can think of at present
will write you again soon
