I am enjoying good health
and all the Fowler boys are
well and enjoy the the sport
very well You will no
dout know more about our
Position and Jackson
armey than we do if you
dont you will not know more
about it for we know nothing
all we know is that we are
after Old Jackson and will
give him hell as soon as he
makes a stand so we expect
a heavey battle dailey
we have got through playing
soldier now for certain
I have laid in mud and
water and with my clothes
clothes wet for three days
at a time but still I have
the same desire to go on
until the end and when

I am killed I want them
roll me in to a hole
with my face down so
that J.R. Fell can kiss
my ass with out turning me
over Now Diana I have one
request to make of you (perhaps
the last one I will ever ask
of you) that is not to walk
any place over a mile from
home if you want to go farther
you must get some way to
Ride you have money enough
and you can hire a conveyance
your good health will tell
me how well you have
Obeyed in this respect
be cheerfull and look to
the future for better days a
coming my hand pains me
so I will have to close by
biding you good by and will
Remain your as ever Bill
