the 18 come to hand the 28 of April
it found me well as common I was
very glad to here from you and to here
you was well. we Marched from the
valley the 2 day of May we are now
in Georga south of ringgold in sight
of the rebs camps. we are looken for
afight soon. if they dont atact ous
soon as our forces get oup we will
atact them. so there must be
afight sure. Mary Ellen I halve
not mutch to wright now but
will halve soon. if I come out
safe. I am detailed in the
Ambulance core to pick oup
wonded men over the battle
field I halve not ben with
the regi for over amonth

likely I should loose it or get
it spoiled so dont sende it now
