My deare Joseph it is with much
Pleasure that I take my pen in hand
To let you know that wee are all well
At present and i hope you are enjoying
The same blessing i Sent you a letter the 2
of march the last leter i got was the 18 of
March i sent it by Captain beard
I sent your letter by capt beard and
My minature and the babys in the leter
And three dolars in georgs leter iexpected
To send it by express i thought it would
Be safer with him i did not send much i will
Send more if you need it i got a leter
From your Mother about 2 weeks ago they
Was all well she wants to here from you
So bad She sent you a leter and your uncle
Thomas sent me but has got no answer she
Wanted me to tell her where to direct her
Leters but i could not at that time i got
A leter from aunt Sarah whaling she rote
Me a good leter She is like me she has got

No man to live with i hope it will not
be the case long my dear i get tired a waiting
For you it has bin three months the 6th of this
Month since i saw you it seems so long to me you have
No idea how bad i want to see you i
Would give this world to see you emma
Puts on her shall every day and says good by
Mary i am going to see Joey and he will
Shake hands when he coms she kisses
your minature evry time she sees it
She holds up her new dress before it
And says look here Joey at my new dress
My litle Joseph at home is a geting fat as
A pig he begins to set alon i will send you
A hankerchief in another envelop by Mr
keler i would send you some socks but
He wont carry aney thing else i heard you
Could not send any leters for thirty dys it
Has bin forty to me what will i do my
Dear while you cant write wright as soon
As you can i would like to here from you
Evry day if i could i wish the war was over
So you could come home i hope it will be

And over and think of me my dear if you think
About me as often as i do you your mind is
Not at rest i took my childrin to meeting
And went to meeting to the chool hous but
it was not much pleasure to me becaus you
Was not there what a meeting it would be if
I could meet with you my dear my dear
Keep your spirits up fore i think you will
Be at home some some day i cant think any other way
If i aloued my self to think any other
Way i dont know what would become of
Me excuse my bad wrighting and mistaks wright
as soon as posable no more at present but
Remain your dear wife until death
