Dear mary I again sit down to try let you Know how I am I am not very Well
at this Time I am trubeld very mutch With the rumatism We ar so expos
mutch exposed to Wet Wether and hard marching that it tries a persons
Constution Dear mary I hope these few lines Will find you all injoying
good helth I Would bee very glad to bee at home With you I am getting tiard
of soldiering I feel like Would like to rest a While but their is no Chance
to get home as I no of now you dont know how glad I Would bee if
I could go home to see you all once more their is a good meny getting
furlows and discharges they say they are going to send for them boys
that was dischrd from Winchester that their discharges is of no account
Colonel Candy says he is agoing to send for all of them and have
them to report to the regament and if they are not abel for
duty he has surgeon their that can discharg his men

tell gorg to not Cum back here if he can help it atall
tell him he can pley off if he tryes if I Was him I
Would never Cum back to vrginea for it is the dams plase
in the World pete mitchel got here yesterday I got the tobaco
and letter you sent me i am pleased With my present from you
capt Horr has gon home he sed he Would go to see you all he thought
I dont see as their is eny chance for me to get home very soon
maby if you Would rite some big yarn about being sick and send
