Dear Joseph it is with the gratest
of plesure that i have the privelidge
of riteing a few lines to you
to let you no that wee are all
well at present hopeing these
few lines will find you ingoing

dated the 26 last evening and
was very glad to hear from you
once more i am very sory to
hear that you are a marching
for i am a fraid that you are
a going in to a battle this is a
world of troubel but i still live
in hopes that you will get home
some day i was up to John
protsmans yesterday to see
there fine sun they are all
well they got a letter from

your mother a few days
ago they was all well i
gess they have all for gotten me
out there i have not had a letter
from there for 5 mounts tell
John that till has got a fine yong
daughter it waid nine pounds
and a half bob doke and John
midelton got home last wens day
pap has gon up to mideltons to
day i wish the war was over
so you could all return to your
peasful homes once more we have
a fine prospect of fruit this year
i hope that you will all get home
to engoy some of it well Joseph
i cant think of eny thing to
rite to day and i will not rite

to rite like you can you must

it wasent for your letters i dont
