Well Jo
i hav not got aleter from you yet
but i will commence riting and
finish When i here from you
Jo we had brigade drill yes ter day
and to day our division went
about three miles and we had
general review and division drill
well i will stop until tomorrow
June th 10 /63
Jo i hav just come in
from ahard days work on
the fort we just finished
it to day
June th 11 /63
We are having a find brigade
drill and review to day i dont
no what will cum tomorow
and dont cair one god dam sir

Jo John [Milleridge] says that he will rite you a leter tomorow he is reading a very interesting
book this eavening and cant stop until he gets it done Jo if you cant reed this
send it back and
i will reed it for you

Well Jo
you said so litel about me in your
leter that i that that i would not
rite to you but as we hav received
marching orders this evening i will
rite alitel leter to you Jo we are agoing
to leeve here tomorow i will send you a fiew
lines Jo i am well and able to eat mi
rations we had afine drill to day and generl
gary maid a speech to us he gives us the
best name of any brigade in the army of
potomac he spoke very incouraging to us
Jo i comenced riting this leter the 9 and
there is so litel of mi paper that i cant
rite much to you Jo sum one stold mi
gun the other night and left me one that
was all stove up that did not suit me and
to make a nice thing of it i went out
and drafted another one and sold the old
one for five dollars Jo i hav sold mi
watch for 23 dollars i maid five dollars
on it well i will hav to close for the

trouble
