John is not Well he has had the

marching orders a few days ago and

from home for a long time gorge gets
out of hart about Writing for he
says he hardly evr gets eny letters
I think that Way my Self some
times to I Write about 12 letters
to evry one I recive from home

and one from ann a few days ago
they Wair all Well but mother she
is not very Well she says she has
not herd from you for a long While
moley you must Write to her often

their Was a letter Came to the regament
yesterday for John from Till
I have Writen 5 letters to you
since We have bin in this state
tell pap that they have gained
such a compleet victory over
the Copperheads that is better
than a great victory in the field
I dont think that the War Will
last long for I think the rebs
is pritty Well plaid out and I
Know they cant rase another
army When the one they have
