My Dear Little Girl
As I was writing to Mother and I had
this nice sheet of paper I thought I would
write you a little letter the last time your
mother wrote she said you and Katie
had the Hooping cough I hope you are
well of it now for it makes me feel bad
to hear of you being sick I wish it was
so I could come home and see you but
it will be a long time yet before I can
I wonder if Katie has grown much is
she so big that you cant lift her and can
[page2]
she talk yet and what does she say
you are a good girl of course
if you are not you must be and mind
what Mother tells you
are you agoing to school if you are you
must try to learn so you can write a
letter to me but I cant write any
more now but I remain your affectionate
Father T M Covert
