know that I am still
living yet and in good hels

to me and I was very glad
for the Box evry sing was good
that tobackgo you sent was
very good but it didend last
long you must excuse me
for not riting eny sooner
Because I cant git no paper
and no stamps I also let you

Brother Peter last night
and he states that he is
well at present time
I also let you know that
whe have few fine days hear
it is nise and warm hear
where wher are whe are in Camp
about 6 miles from Petersburg
it is two wicks to day that
the 5th Corps had abig fight
near Petersburg I dond no much
news at present I will Bring
