Dear father I take the pleasure
to answer your welcom letter
wich came to hand last
night I also received that five
cent note that you sent
to me futher I let you
know that we have orders
to Start for harisburg next
monday but I dont expect
to get home they will discharge
all the men whose time is
up till the first of october
but my time is not out
till the 17th of october I think
I will have to Stand till
my time is up but I dont
care I can Stand fore month
more but I think they will
take us all back to our
own state when I get to
harisburg I will write
as soon as I get their

you also stated in your
letter that you dont know
eny thing about Brother
John I cant think where
he is I wrote to him
often already and got no
answer I would like very
much to hear of him
I also let you know
that Govner Curtin Will
Come to our camp
to day at ten o clock
I dont know much to
Write at present all the
talk in camp is about
going home I also seen
in your letter that
you stopt Wood hauling
I also let you know
that we had rain for
they last fore days but
yesterday it claered
up and to day it is
nice and warm you
also stated that my

I Sent two books
I think you dident
get the other one
yet I must Soon close
