few lines I hav got sum good
news to write you the news Cum
to hand last night that George
is A Prisener down at Richmond
on Bell Island won of the fellows
that was taken with George Plaid off
sick and got Parolled and when he
got to Anapolis he writen to us and
told us all about the boys that was
taken to gettsburgh they was about
20 from our Regt that is with George
when this fellowe left Richmond George
was well and injoing him self well
he Cum from thar last week

I think he will be Parolled
in A short time I was glad
to here that George was still in
the land of living it is sum
Concilation to me that he is alive
if he is A Prisener George had
about twenty Dollar of money
when he was taken so I think
he will git along first rait
When George is Parolled he will
be apt to Cum home A few
Days if I hear from him
again I will write to you
This leaves me well and
injoing the best of health
hoping it may find you injoining
the same greate blessing when you
git this write me so I will now
