Dear mother it is with the Greatest of 
plesure for me to set Down to answer your 
kind letter that Came at hand the 
27 inst ritten the 21st of march and was 
verry glad to hear from you and to hear 
that you was well  I got aletter 
from Omar the same day  he was 
at Bab Creek arafting When he ritten 
and sed he was going to the Block 
house  We have had a big rain storm 
hear  mother you spoke about 
entering up them Noats against mr Brouder 
I ritten aletter to you Conserning them Noats 
the same Day your letter Was mailed 
and I presume you have got it Before now 
they hant Now news to writ to Day 
So this Will be ashort letter and of 
No importance  But you must read 
it if you can for I am in ahurry

Mother our old Cat had kettens 
and the old tom Eat them up 
and I was mad Enoughf to killed 
the old Buggar  our Cat is white and 
yellow and she is quite apet  that is Enoughf 
about the old Cat this time  mother Who 
Directed this last letter for you  they appeared 
to Be two hand wrtn writing on the envelop 
it Don verry well But your ink was so pail 
it looked like abad pencil mark 
I Was Sorry to hear that Susan Moore 
Was Sick although we all have got to 
Come to the same trial G[??]  my Best 
respects to all of the folks also to 
mother Crandall  I shall write to Omar 
in afew Days and Direct in your Care 
so if he ant at home you Can take Care 
of it till he Comes  So No more
