as it is raning to day and thare is
not much to do I will try and
write afew lines to you to let you
know I am alive and well and
hope this finds you the same things
ar thriving finly around here the
duty that we hav to do is mostly
Picket and Camp gard som polese
of corse and ocasinely inspection but
all this we can stand if as long
as they give us plenty of soft bread
and pork I supose you hav read
all the news about the seven in
washington I was thar but it was
not avery desirabel job it was about
19 mils march I was quite stiff the
next day to pay for it I hav got
apass on the way I expect it in to
knight if it coms I shall visit the
brave Sity agane to marrow I saw Cip
Fraly in the sity the other day and
am agoing to visit him agane in
the Barrex whar he livs thare is
grate excitement heer with the boys
on the strength of going hoam in afew

days but thare is no teling when
we will get home but I hope in afew
days I think I will be home to
hold the 4 of Juy July with you
thare is no news of importence
to write so I will close hoping to
