Dear Sister
I take
the oppertunity of
writing you to let
you know that I am
well and hope that
these few lines may find
you all the same
Thare is no use for me
to tel you much about
Camp life I have
told you about it when I
was home
We drawed our
arms yester Day now
then we have the hole
Equippage all we want
now is to be perfectly
driled then we ar reddy
for the south

My sister lavina was
out to camp and as it
happent I was in phil=
=adelphia at the same
time I started for
Camp and when I jump-
-ed of[f] the car she got
on and I just saw her
and then I took the car
after her and found
her at the black horse
then we took
supper and went to
Theater and after
Theater we took the car
for the black horse and
stayed thare till morning
then after brekfast
we bout her goods and
and I accompany her to
Walnut street Warf
gave her good by and then I starte
for camp
