it seams to me that I
heard From home last
I am verry glad to hear
that you are all enjoying
good health but I am
not verry well satisfied
with Emma for her news and
that she is trying to
blow thrue herself but
I think it hand of
much account what
she does say if she says
[page 2]
Says any thing to you again
tell her to save her wind
for some better use.
I was sorry to hear that
old Madelena Died I had
a dream aboud some old
woman I thought I come
in an old house and
thay told me old Peter
Banksts wife was in
the hous but wen I got
in and talked to her
then I thought it was
old [?]ol Madelena
and she dident know
me any more then I
got awake then I thought
to my self I bet any
thing In the next letter
I get I hear that she
is dead and it come true
[page 3]
Dear Sister you statet in
your letter that you would
sent a box to me if I want
one but you neednot go

teems nights so old
Mosbey [1] dont capture them
and we draw our rations
here and we get about
double the amount of
rations that we used to
get at the Regt. we have
verry good times here
all we need to do is stand
gard two hours out of
twenty four and if it
rains we are postet under
sheds and we have verry
good quarters and good
chimnleys and plenty
of good dry oak wood

Soldiering the only time
it is a little uncomfortable

wizzes round your ears
and I mind them less
every time I hear them.
