i take my pen
in my hand to let you
know that i am all well
at presind And i hope this
few lines may find you
in the same state of good
health And futher i let
you know that
my leg giting beter but it
goes very slow it is swell
puty much yet but i thing
it will stay stiff but i can
walk on it puty good
with a cain And futher
i let you know that i reciv
your leter too day and i see
that you ar all well yet that
was a grad joy to me and

you wand to know if i
stay hear long yet I thing
i will stay hear good vile
yet it takes a good vile till
my leg is good. And futher
i let you know that i like
this plase fustrate we
got plenty to eat and trink
but i rater would be with
the Compnia and help the
boys kill the Rebles and put
them down And make a
free glores land then we
all would come hoom. but
I thing the Rebles is plenty near
plate out thay loos every
thing wat that begin the
news is hear that
Charlstown is as good as
taken. And futher i let
you know that i see in your
leter that you hat good
