the 1st 1865

Dear Brother I must
let you no that I recieved
your letter of the 22nd of
December and I was very sorry
to here that Brother Jacob
is dead but it is a debt that
we all must pay and I hope
that he is at a better place
we are all well at present
with the exeption of a cold
mothe had a bad cold but
she is better again Samuel
Hartman was maried the
day before christmas to Sararh
ann warfield we have very
bad weather this winter so far
yesterday eavening it commensed
to snow this morning it is raining
Brother Andrew had a hard
time to move out there

I would like to see you come
in here and stay with us
a while mother would like
to see you as my Brothers
is all left me in here alone
I hope they will come to see
me some times

what was the disease that
Brothe Jacob had
no more at presant for I
