Dear wife
I Recieved this letter yesterday
and was glad that you are all well
Except Chet but I am sorry that
chets Eyes are so sore He Had better
Take care of Him Self we did think
that we would soon be Home But
I dont know when we will
get started for it looks as tho
they calculate To keep us
Here as long as they can
the talk is now that
we will be musterd
out Here and then our
pay will stop then they are
going to make us march one
Hundred miles that is from
Gasket to Petersburg and we
will Loose one Enstallment
of our Bounty Besides Serving
about one month for nothing
But its military they Sey

when them Blankets was
sent or I would Had them sent
to Chet you must get mine

Present we are all made
the way they are using
us we aught to ben Home long
