Tom was riting and had some
paper left i will try to fill it
oup with some thing John
Cile arived here last nite
with a large lot of pyes but we
have not tasted them yet but expect to
soon

I have rote sow much that i dont
now what to say any more
Will Cowden Says that pap and
Dr Cowden is coming oup next
weak they will be warmley received
Cyrus Davis says to give his love
to you all Cy is a good attentive
fellow We got some more bed[ding]
last night John F got a comfort
and a pillow we have as good a bed
as i want and can sleap as sound
as trout on it and fit oup and
feal rested and fresh
Her coms John Mc [1] with six
pyes for nomber 2 [2] we will live fat
to day We will be mustered
into th regular survic to day
i washed my socks yesterday
i wash my towls and socks my
self and got my shurts and collers
wash[ed] our mess gits thare washing
done at a house our her a half a mile
from the camp we pay fore cents
a peas for shurts and two for collers
I have rote Seven or eight leters since
i came her and have not got any yet
We git the nues here sow regular that
we cant help bu[t] think that it is hom
Nothing more at presant but remain
your Brother Jim give my love to
[???] and tell me when pap is coming
