Dear Neoma & Jane I take
my pencell in haste to
lett you know that we
have orders to leave here
agen morning to go to our
regiment Captain Wilson
has been apointed Lutenent
Cornell of the Regiment
by the Governer & we will
hafto go to the regiment
I wood of liked to got a
letter from home before
we leave but we ar afraid
that we woant gett any
word before we start
I am well but I have a
bealing on my cheek it
hasent broke yet As soon
as I get to the regiment
I will right you a letter &

I want you to right right
away as soon as you
can I havent sent my
money home yet but
if we have time in the
morning we will express
sum I will I will send
20 dollars & the rest
will do the same
We ar all well
The nues is that the
fighting is a bout all
over & I think we will
be home before long
We ar in the best of spiri[ts]
I mus close for this
time hoping theas lines
may find you all well
