I just received 4 letters from home
1 from Aduney 1 from Altman & 1
from Andrew Compton & I was glad
to here from all Altman is well & has
went thrue some hard marches
Andy is on well he has catched
coald & it has settled in his lungs
& he is on well I was glad to
hare from you But Jane I want
you to answer what I right to you
what I wan to know before you right
a letter comence & read the last letter
& read them to your mother & she will
tel you what to right & answer
what is in my last letter what you
havent rote to me before & take your
time & you soon will understand how to
right & tell me things of importants
I wood like to know if the little dog
came home tel me about the sheep
& lames & [??] I must close to send
it in the male Answer right a way
I think by the nues here this eavening
if true that we ar a going to be dischar
and sent home before many days
