Dear wufe & Daughter I imbrace the opertunity this
eavening to answer your kind letter of the 8th inst
& was glad to hear frome you & to hear that you was
all well I am still in good health & hope that theas
fiew lines may find you all the same I still am in
the same place yet & I supose that we likely will
be left here for a while yet for It takes a long time to
get so many mustered out we might get mustred out
in a cople of weeks & it ma be 4 or 6 weeks before our
turn will com, but I feal Sadisfied that they ar
a going to muster the volenteers as fast as they
can make our their Discharge papers & get trans
port tation for the trupes is a going towards their
states as fast as they can They must be over 100
thousand that has went over this rail road & they still
ar a going by the thousands 12 thousand went a long
on the tranes yesterday & their is from 7 to 12 thousand
going every dau to Parkers burg & it may take 1 month
for them all to get home & meby longer & we may
hefto stay here til they ar all went over But however
our time is a slipping a round & our turn will com
before a grate while I want you & Mary Jane to
ceep in good hart & be carefull of your healths
& I shal try and do the same for the time will soon
slip a round I wood like just as well to get home
now as you wood be glad to se me & I wood like
to be there to a tend to my Bees for I like to se them
sworme But I am spited that the first sworme
went off Jane you sayed that they went to Allisons
wod lot & lit on a tree I wood like to know if you
got the tree cut down & scapped them or not or if
they went in the tree I wood like to have all of the
arely swarms scapped if you can get [???] to cut
the tree the same eavening they go in but doant
put your self to [??] much trouble about them if
they do go off But you might get Robert Shields
or Alford if they should be a bout to cut the tree
and scap them after this if eany should go on a tree or in
a tree But do not wor[???] self for them at eany time
just do what you can. still tel me the perticklers
a bout the bees & when they swirme & how often Tel me
if there is a going to be eny apples this year & if you had
any rane there late[Ly?] I am glad that that plank is such [1]
