eavening to answer your kind letter of the 8th inst
& was glad to hear frome you & to hear that you was
all well I am still in good health & hope that theas
fiew lines may find you all the same I still am in
the same place yet & I supose that we likely will
be left here for a while yet for It takes a long time to
get so many mustered out we might get mustred out
in a cople of weeks & it ma be 4 or 6 weeks before our
turn will com, but I feal Sadisfied that they ar
a going to muster the volenteers as fast as they
can make our their Discharge papers & get trans
port tation for the trupes is a going towards their
states as fast as they can They must be over 100
thousand that has went over this rail road & they still
ar a going by the thousands 12 thousand went a long
on the tranes yesterday & their is from 7 to 12 thousand
going every dau to Parkers burg & it may take 1 month
for them all to get home & meby longer & we may
hefto stay here til they ar all went over But however
our time is a slipping a round & our turn will com
before a grate while I want you & Mary Jane to
ceep in good hart & be carefull of your healths
& I shal try and do the same for the time will soon
