Near Fredricksburg
V. A. Dear Wife and
children I receive a letter
from you some ten days ago
which I did not anser I
got one four or five
days ago which I have
answered only to day
the reason why was be-
-cause I was sick I have be
been as sick as I want
to be. the prevailing dise-
-ase here is the Diarrea
our Capt and Lieu are
both down you said
you was all well at
home I hope you you
may remain so I must
stop and lie down for
my head is very weak
