I now take the pleasure
of wrighting a few
lines to let you
now that we are
all well hoping [these?]
few lines will finde
you the same I hav

letter and was [glade?]
to hear that you
ware all well I hav
nouthing of aney
importince to wright
we receved that bundle
this week them glooves

are moste to stiff
fore oure use as
we wante sumthing
more pliable we hav
verey good glooves
we pade one doller
per pare thay call
them buckskinn
thay are just the
same as Low daltons
we expect your bundle
tow morrow night
the suttler fetches them
out fore us we cant
get but one pass
at a time that is
one fore each companey
thare is so menney
passes promissed we
should had one this
weeke but well hav
not got it yet

news from east
tenessee and other
sourthern states and
i expect you will
hear good newe from
this quarter before
long as we expect a
moove hear every day
the hole armey is
wating orders to
moove we are all
kept in readeness
fore a move it
may happen before
you get this letter
and it may not
happen this winter
our men is shouting
every day It is reported
hear just now that
our troopes captured
