Dear wife
i take this opertey
of writing a
few lines to you i
hoope thay will finde
you all well as thay
leave me at present
some of the boys
are not so well
we did not leave
hear as we ware tolde
i onley sende these few
lines as i hav not got
time this morning to
write a letter thare
is verey heavey firing
this morning we

bring on a fight
and then i would
not hav as good
a chance as now
fore then we would
certneley moove I
will sende you
ten dollers in this
letter that will make
twenty dollers in all
i hav sent you this
time I got our
aneys letter on
tusday night the
penselvana reserve
are down hear now
