opertunety of
writing a few lines
to you i hope thay
will finde you all
well as thay leave
us all at present
I receved your letter
dated the 26 June it had
bin dealade severel
days also your [hankeys?]
one would hav bin
enough fore me you
want to know what
kinde of shirtes i want
i thought you would

kind thay are so as they
are darke coting
i hav bin wating
expecting to get a letter
from you i wish
you could hav sent
them you fear that
we may moove at aney
time adams express is
hear sende me some
blue ointment in
them if you hav
not alreadey sent
them the weather is so
warme that i hav harley
pashens to write the
wett is runing down
mee like rane my hands
is so wet that i can
scarseley write this litter

it is sade that the
presedent came hear yester
day thay ware [firing?]
slutes last night fore
something and the bands
ware plaing some livley
ares thar was some
thing more then comen
mat cooper was taken
to norefolk i thought
he was sent home
this is a verey pretey
camping plase along
the river we gow into
bathe everey day
the falt is thare
is not much drinking
warter we hav to
drink the river
warter and that
is not so good
