Fredrick Monday september 15th
1862

Dear wife sisters and brothers
I take the opertunety of writing
a few lines to you i hope
thay will finde you all well
as these few lines leaves us all
at present I hope you arived
home safe I got that box of
yours that had those eatables in
thay ware all spoiled onley
the preserves that bottle was
broken that Bill gray sent
Dear wife our i was soreay
to finde that you had
left washington so soone
our compny was sent to
washington munday at
noone you had just left
the old camp when wee
arived thare I thought
that i would hav caught
you on the street before
you got to the cars but
I mist you and had
to content myself

we shall not
we stade in washington till
the next day at noone and
then went back to camp
our rigment left camp fore
fredrick that same after noone
so that we hav [bin on the road?] [1]
everey day since and i hav
not had time to write if
I had time thare is no
male I left our camp fore
severel days nore do i know
when i shall the hav the opetuny
of sending this our men hav
had [some warme work?] with
the rebles fore to ore there
days and it is likley to
last fore some time as our
men are determend to follow

back the same after noone

of the delleware county boys
