My Dear
Wife I take this oppty
of writing a few
lines to you I hope
thay will find you
all well as thay leave
me at Present I receved
two letters from you
the other day one dated
April 27th the other May 5th
so that you se i hav
got them letters at last
evry thing seams to be
quiet hear just now
I hear now news worth
speaking of

our rigment is laing
at the old camp ground
Near Potomac creek station
I hear that the Boys
are all well your Bill
is cooking for the compy
down thair
if evry thing gows on
as it is I will be
in washington on wednesday
ore thursday afternoon
I will stay till sunday
morning if i cant git

cair hoo you send
down to meet mee

sixt street if thay meet
me that night i may
be able to com right
