writing a few lines to
you hoping thay will find
you all well as thay

I receved your kind and
welcome letter dated the 24
with two stamps in and
List of drafted men
i was vary glad to se

paper that came to oram
gregg in F comp i am
very sory for some of
those men I only wish
we may not want them

warrington two ore three
days and left thare yesterday
morning and got hear last
night in a drenching rain
we hav had some very wett
weather latley and a good
deal of it your Bill joined
us at warrington he is dismou
nted all the dismounted men
ware sent to Alexandria
fore new horses yesterday
when we left ten out
of our compny James
Ardes is withe them and
we expect them backe in
a few days this is the
plase whare george philips
