My Dear Wife
I take this opportunety
of writing A few lines
to you hoping thay will
find you All well
as thay leave us At
Present that long looked
fore day came At
last we got Paid yester
day four 4 mounth Pay
sixty eight $68 dollers I
sent you fifty $50 dollers
I may probly send you
a littel more of it in
a letter I sent the other
by Adims express last
night

not Paid four I expect
you will hav to Pay
fore them when you
get the monney At chester
Please send me word when
you get it and let me
