My Dear Wife
I take this opportunty
of writing a few
lines to you hoping
thay will find you
all well as thay leave
us at Present I
wrote you a letter
on the sixt 6 of this
month I received you[r]
paper dated th 4 this
month evry thing is
quiet hear at Present
Gen Grant was up
hear last week at
Gen meads head Quarters
I did not get to see
him veary few sean
him

are ariving hear evry
day now a lot whint
up this morning
I was over to se
James cliff yestrday
I sean all but bill
Gray i did not se
hime he was away
so that i did not get
to see him Bob chadwick
has gon home on a
furlough he will be
back in a day ore
two the weather is
fine hear just now
thoe it has bin very
wett some days agow
this is a miserable
camping ground hear
I would not like
to stay hear in the
hot season

revoked to citisens
