Dear wife and i take opertunity
of riting a few lines to you hoping
they will find you in good health
as it leaves me at present i
rote a letter home the day that
i sent a box home and that
was the last of the month
and i have not heard frome
it since i would like to
heare if you have got it yet
and if not send me word
hear is not any news hear
that i can tell you we are
still laying in camp doing
n nothing at all but awaiting
for our discharge and hopes
to get them every day i hope
wont bee long any i expect
to bee at home by the fourth

of July and may perhaps
before i hope so at least i must
conclude for the present because
i ham tired and lasey so
good by for the present
underwood is all right give
my best respects to all that
inquirs after me good by for
the present right soon
