Deer Dear wife and child i
take the opertunity of riting
to you hoping that those few
lines will finnd you in good
health as it leaves me at present
i have rote two letters to you
and as got no anser from
either of them it is over a
month since i sent the first
one and i sent a box the
last fo may and i want to
know if you have got it
or not i should like to know
about that box very much
we are in the forts now my
company is in fort woodbery
under underwood i have not
seen him in two or three
weekes

son as possabel we have
not got any pay yet and
i should like you to send
me a few shillings and
three or fouer stamps
send me all the news you
can i expect to come home
soon but i could not tell
ho soon i have not ad
a letter in amonth i
i would like a letter very
