of riteing you all afew lines
to inform you that I am
well at the present time
and ernistly hoping when
those few lines com to hand
thay may find you all injoy
ing the same blesing of
god I am at Stanton at
this time my company
fetch up some prisners we start
ed from Winchester last wens
day we will starte back in
the morning I waned to
com home very bad but
I trid to get permision
to com home but captin

repote me if i went home
and did not get back in
time but I thorte that
it too onsurten to try

when tha put me to

a par of pant and about
three quiers of paper and
a looking glass and a haver sack
I sent them by mister
carter to gordns vill to
James O Wilkerson I want
to her from home very bad
