Respected but absent Father
It is with pleasure that
I seat my self to drop you afew lines informing
you that I am well except boiles wich pester me
vary much I have never got with my company
yet on the account of my hors heis like to
die I am afraid I will loos him yet with the
distempter I am at Mr Watts have a vary nice time
will Copenhaver stayed all night hear last monda
night & said that was camped near meddow bluff
Thomas Rosenbaum is with me but he will start
to the company to morrow I will go just as soon as
my hors gets abel to travel he is vary thin in
order & will not stand it I fear I want you to take
good cear of my mar hir in order as quick as
posable for I shall haft to send for her or buy one
Norman has sold dick so I under stood or
I could of rode him until this one gets well
I have know news of importance to write & will
soon close Thomas & I were up to the widow Ransbar[ger]
yesterday & the girls come down with us to watts
& stayed all night, pa the health of the company
is generally well but have know tents yet
Mr Watts famley is well & also the widows famlie
Noah St John is staying at mrs Ransbarger with a felon
on his finger
