camp morton [March] 15th/62

Dear mother
I receved your letter this
morning and was glad to recived
the One dollar Bill. It is raining
there this morning with the prospect
of raining all day which is very
disagreeable for we have had wind
enough. we are all well here now
I received aletter from sis the other day
I have been out a horse hunting
this morning but had no luck
I have the toothache here latley
pretty severe but I go to the doctor
and get him to fix it up I wish
we would leave here for we
are getting tired of this place
it is to muddy herer for a white
man to live but we have to stand
it there is no news here to send so I
will have to Close. your Respy
