Oliver Clay Elder Letter

Oliver Clay Elder Letter, SC 2907, Indiana Historical Society.

Oliver Clay Elder was from Decatur County, Indiana. He mustered into service as a private in Co. E, 7th Indiana Infantry on September 13, 1861.  Elder  mustered out as a sergeant on September 22, 1864.  In 1868, he married Sophronia Cox and lived to the 1920s.
