Dear Sister it is with
pleisure I seat my self
to answer yore kind and
welcom leter which came
to hand the fifteenth of
this month which found
me wel I was sorrow to
hear that you was troubled
with the rumatics tho I
hope A gainst this
comes to hand it ma
find you well wel alapher
I wil tel you that I am
with my regment A gain
tha batery was ordered
to hunts vill albamy
which is A bout forty
miles and all the men
that was detacht was

their regments so I came
back this morning I
like the batery the best
tho I supose I wil hav
to stay with my reg
ment wel you said that
you had not seen andy
yet tho pap Said
him and his two sones
voted A democrat
ticket I supose tha think
tha ar rite and tha
hav that privleg that
is just what made me
and meny others had to
come out in this
war that evry one mite
hav the privleg of voting
for who tha please
tho I am sorrow that

had bin with me the
last eighteen months
it wold hav learnd them
