Dear Catharine I will write to
you a gain to let you know how I
am getting a long I come from
Maryetta to this place last night
all the sick and convalescent
that be longs to the department of
Teensee is sent here I have got
a bout as well as ever gain I
was put to Nersing this morn
ing there is twenty four sick in
the I have not heard from the Regt
since I left it they was on the
rail road the last account the
Rebs has tore up a gooddeal of
railroad between here and chatta
nooga our men is at work fixing
it as fast as they can there has
not been a train through from
Nashville for two or three weaks
and if they dont soon get through
we will soon get short rations
here but we have plenty here
yet I dont think I will stay

I will go to the Regt I have
had no letter from you since
the 18 of last month you
may Direct your letters
to the Regt and if I am not
thare I will write to William
to send them to me dont be
uneasy a bout me for I will
take care of my self I guess
the boys has has a hard time
since I left them I dont know
whether they have had to fight
any or not but I am a fraid they
have had some of that to do it
is a sight to see the sick that
is here I dont know any thing
a bout the number there is here
there will be lots sent home
as soon as the road is fixed
