Catharine I am with the
Regt a gain and am well and
hearty I got here yesterday I found
the boys well I think we are
fixing for a big campaign some
say we are going to Mobeal &
some say to Savanah & some
say to Charleston as for my
part I cant tell where we
will go I got a letter from you
last night it was dated 24 of
last month I think we will
be paid off to day or to morrow
I dont know how to send my
money home for it is not safe
to risk much by mail and thare
is no a gent here to take it home
for us and I dont like to keep
much money with me at once
when we leave here we will not
get to write soon a gain if we

draw before I mail this I will
send you ten dollars in this
letter and risk it going safe
to you if I cant get to send
home by some boddy I will send
a little at a time in letters
for you will need some before
long I saw Fountain kelly
and stephen kelly yesterday they
are well they are in the 25 Ind
Regt in the 17 Corps the re
cruits is comeing in fast at
this time I heard from Hen
a bout ten days a go he was going
a bout and thought he would
start home in a few days I got
a letter from dad stating that
he had been to Nashville and
could get no further I know he
hated to turn back with out getting
to see Hen but I hope he is
at home now.
